This was sent recently in the EFT Insights newsletter. It is from one of the groups who support the Emotional Freedom Techniques community.
If you’ve looked at Wikipedia’s entry on EFT, you’ll see that it’s heavily biased. It was written by a group of skeptics who brand EFT as “pseudoscience.” Every time Dawson Church, David Feinstein, or a qualified expert tries to post a correction, or a new study, the skeptics delete their posting. In fact, one of those skeptics has now “protected” the page to limit further edits. This same skeptic (with no training or certification in EFT) has also deleted the bios of Donna Eden and Dawson. It’s time to take action. Our friends at ACEP have put together a petition, and we urge you to sign. It will take just a moment. We’re more than half way toward our goal of 10,000 signatures, so please add your name to this worthy effort and sign now.
I urge you to follow the link and sign the petition.
I’ve used these techniques and they have worked for me and for friends. As I have written elsewhere, I don’t believe these folks are using the best explanation for why the techniques work. I think a soul model and life force explain the effects better.
I also think the people discussed in this posting have gotten too tied up with monetary issues. You can read more about them here. They often ask people to look at why they can’t achieve the material success they want. This involves freeing up the Desire Region. It’s not wrong, but this Western concept of making money probably is not in the best interest of the world as a whole. I think more time should be spent on the Heart. Few people in the West are truly hurting for the basics of physical life. Most are hurting because they don’t have spiritual and/or personal connections. That’s where I’ve seen EFT do the most effective work.
If you are interested in EFT and how it can heal all the parts of the soul, I suggest you check out what Gary Craig, the founder of EFT, is doing. Gary Craig’s Official EFT website is here. For me, this is how EFT is best used.
